Our Official Launch of Schizophrenia Awareness Week was held in May at the Bendat Community Centre in Wembley.
A lovely afternoon was had by those who attended. Special guests, Life Member Hugh Cook and Hon Alanna Clohesy MLC officially opened the event by cutting the cake.
Guest speaker Deanne Leber spoke of her lived experience and book ‘Book of Days’ and the wonderful photos from our Photography competition were on display.
Spirits of the Streets Choir gave a wondering performance, followed by a delicious afternoon tea before some enjoyed making Gratitude Journals, Crochet, Poetry Writing and a walk around Lake Monger on the sunny afternoon.
