The Youth Mental Health First Aid course will teach you how to better assist and support young people who may be experiencing a mental health challenges or are in a mental health crisis.

Over two days, you’ll learn the signs and symptoms of mental health challenges, how and where to get help, and what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective.

Topics will include depression, anxiety, psychosis, eating disorders, substance use, suicide and more.

Course Format

This is a 14-hour course held over two days.

Course participants receive a copy of the Youth MHFA Manual to keep as well as a Certificate of Completion.

Participants are eligible to become an accredited Mental Health First Aider.

Who can attend?

Any interested adult can attend. This course is not a therapy or support group, but rather it is an educational course.

Costs?

The course costs $300 for two days training. We offer subsidised places to eligible carers.
