Parenting is a big job for many people, and when you are facing mental health challenges it can feel overwhelming. If you are a parent with mental health challenges (and their families) we can work with you and offer practical support to rebuild your confidence and coping.
Lorikeet Centre is a welcoming community centre in Leederville for people recovering from mental health challenges. The focus is on participation, reducing isolation and building capacity supported and encouraged by peers.

MIFWA's peer groups are facilitated by peer facilitators who have lived experience of mental health challenges, and who are trained to create a safe and non-judgmental environment for group members to share their experiences and support each other.

Our training helps you to learn about mental illness and recovery, drawing from the expertise of people who have been there.
