Join us for this free two-day Mental Health First Aid course in Narrogin.

Learn about the signs and symptoms of the common mental health challenges, what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective, and how to provide mental health first aid in a crisis situation.

The Standard Mental Health First Aid course is for anyone who would like to learn simple, practical first aid skills for helping a family member, friend, co-worker or another person who is experiencing mental health problems

This workshop is proudly brought to you in partnership with MIFWA, Holyoake and the Wheatbelt Suicide Prevention Project.

Course information

• An accredited course.

• This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.

• Topics include depression, anxiety, substance use, suicidal thoughts and behaviours, and psychosis.

• On completion of the post-course assessment, you will be accredited as a Mental Health First Aider for 3 years.

• You’ll also be entitled to a 30% discount off the Mental Health First Aid Refresher course in 3 years’ time when you enrol to extend your accreditation for a further 3 years.

This course is not a therapy or support group, it is an education course to learn how to give mental health first aid to others.
