Mental health training gives confidence to know you’re “doing the right thing”

On Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 September 2026, Hayley Harris delivered a Standard Mental Health First Aid course at our Midland Office.

The group, mostly working in support roles, were passionate, insightful and creative.

“It was a genuinely enjoyable two days,” Hayley said.

“Something I heard from them: they were already following their gut in crisis situations, listening without judgement and exploring options with the people they support. This course gave them the confidence to know they’re doing the right thing.

“Big thank you to MIFWA for the morning tea. We were very spoilt!”

One person described the course as “a great starting point for people entering the world of mental health, illness and crisis.”

Other feedback:

  • “Fantastic delivery, very engaging and gave plenty of room for curiosity and great conversation.”
  • “Hayley is by far the best facilitator I have ever had in any course! Very engaging, spoke to her audience and did so with care and respect for lived experience.”

If you work with people in any capacity, keep an eye on our upcoming dates for Standard Mental Health First Aid courses.
