Sarah and Cherie from our Youth Team recently had the privilege of speaking with South Metropolitan TAFE‘s Certificate IV in Community Services students at the Murdoch campus.
It was an incredible session with fantastic energy and engagement from the students, who brought thoughtful questions and genuine curiosity to the room. The conversations were rich, the participation was high, and the passion for working in youth mental health was truly inspiring!
A huge thank you to the lecturer for sharing this feedback:
“The speakers from MIFWA’s Early Intervention Recovery Program for young people delivered an engaging and interactive session that aligned closely with the Behaviours and Crisis unit, particularly around responding to self-harm and suicide. Their presentation provided valuable insights for our students, and they generously stayed afterward to speak with those interested in pursuing careers in youth mental health.”
We love seeing future community services professionals so eager to learn and make a difference!
