What does social inclusion mean?
Social inclusion means being able to take part in community life.
This may include being able to:

- connect with other people
- use local services
- take part in cultural, civic and recreational activities
- have a voice in decisions that affect you
How does MIFWA support participation?
We will talk with you about opportunities to take part in activities and community life.
We may provide information when you:
- start using MIFWA services
- make or review your service plan
- talk with us about your goals or interests
Where practical, we can provide information in different formats or languages.
We can also help you access advocacy or other support to take part.
Building confidence and connection
MIFWA may support activities that help you build confidence and connection.
This may include support to:
- build skills
- connect with local groups or courses
- take part in social, educational or community activities
- join events or committees if you want to
Your choice
You can choose whether you want to take part in activities.
You can choose who represents your views.
You can tell us what helps you feel included.
You can also give feedback if something is not working for you.
