Join us for this FREE two-day Youth Mental Health First Aid course in Merredin.

Learn about the signs and symptoms of the common mental health problems experienced by young people, what sort of help has been shown by evidence-based research to be effective, and how to provide mental health first aid in a crisis situation.

Topics will include

Depression, anxiety problems, eating disorders, substance use problems, suicidal thoughts and behaviours, and psychosis.

On completion of the post- course assessment, you’ll be accredited as a Youth Mental Health First Aider for 3 years.

Who is this course for?

The Youth Mental Health First Aid Course is for:

  • adults working or living with adolescents (those aged between 12 and 18 years)
  • anyone helping people who are a little younger or older
  • parents, teachers, sports coaches, and youth workers

This course is not a therapy or support group, it is an education course to learn how to give mental health first aid to others.

When: 22 to 23 November 2022

Time: 9am to 4pm

Where: Merredin CRC – Conference Room, 110 Barrack St, Merredin
