MIFWA launches psychology clinic to boost support for children, young people, and adults

Hello,

My name is Krystle, and I’m pleased to introduce myself as the inaugural Clinical Psychologist at MIFWA Psychology Clinic, a new service now operating as part of MIFWA’s not-for-profit work supporting the community.

Krystle Pavalache MIFWA Psychologist

MIFWA Psychology Clinic will provide evidence-based psychological therapy across the lifespan, supporting individuals with a broad range of emotional, mental health, and life challenges. View the full list.

I joined MIFWA in March 2026 and have valued the opportunity to be involved in developing this clinic from the ground up. Preparation for opening has focused on establishing clear systems and processes to support a positive client experience, as well as creating a calm environment that supports privacy and therapeutic engagement.

My clinical work includes supporting presentations such as anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, grief and loss, trauma, parenting challenges, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and feelings of overwhelm. My approach aligns with MIFWA’s values of respect, inclusion, empowerment, and recovery, and is collaborative, person-centred, and evidence-informed. Read more about me and my approach in my bio.

As the clinic becomes established, we are taking a considered and sustainable approach, with an emphasis on accessibility, quality care, and collaboration with referrers. We welcome professional conversations regarding referrals and service suitability.

Medicare rebates are available for eligible clients with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan and GP referral. Read more here.
