MIFWA to launch psychology clinic for children, young people, and adults

Hello everyone,

My name is Krystle Pavalache, and I’m really pleased to introduce myself as the inaugural Clinical Psychologist at MIFWA Psychology Clinic, a new service opening this May as part of MIFWA’s not-for-profit work supporting the community.

MIFWA Psychology Clinic will offer evidence-based therapy for people across the lifespan, supporting a wide range of emotional, mental health, and life challenges. I joined MIFWA in March 2026 and have felt grateful to be involved in shaping this service from the very beginning.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been thoughtfully preparing systems and processes to ensure clients feel supported from their first contact. We are also working on creating a calm, welcoming therapy space with new furnishings and improved soundproofing to support comfort and privacy.

You’ll soon be able to read more about me and how I work on our website.

I look forward to supporting people with concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, grief and loss, trauma, parenting challenges, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and feelings of overwhelm. My approach reflects MIFWA’s values of respect, inclusion, empowerment, and recovery, and I aim to offer a warm, non-judgemental space where strengths are recognised alongside challenges.

At MIFWA Psychology Clinic, our hope is to make psychological support more accessible — helping people get the right support at the right time to strengthen wellbeing and the relationships that matter most.

We’ll soon be welcoming referrals via our online booking system. Medicare rebates are available with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan and GP referral. More information will be available here on our website, and we’re always happy to chat about whether the service might be a good fit.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or wish to request more information, please send me an email at psychology@mifwa.org.au.
